Psychotherapy with Jess Erb, RP DPsychotherapy
Jess Erb, R.P., DPsychotherapy:
| Adolescent | Adult | Couple | LGBTQ2* |
I practice primarily within the Relational Psychodynamic framework, which means that when we work together you will not have a removed or overly clinical counsellor, but a real person who meets you not simply as a ‘patient’ but as the expert of your own life! Together, we can delve into even the toughest, scariest, and unspeakable topics in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space. I believe that the best therapy happens when a deep trust can form between counsellor and client. With me, you will find a warm, compassionate psychotherapist who feels honoured to meet you in all aspects of your life.
In my practice, I specialize in working with those who have faced trauma, especially through forms of abuse – emotional, physical, sexual, and self-harm. Related to my work on trauma, I provide therapy to those with Borderline Personality Disorder.
Beyond my specialized practice, I work with adults and adolescents in an array of issues such as depression/suicidal ideation, anxiety/panic disorders, grief, and loneliness, as well as eating distress and body image. I also work with couples to address how their past histories impact their current relationships.
As your therapist, I believe that there is no such thing as a ‘Band-Aid’ approach to counselling; therefore, instead of providing quick-fixes, I welcome us to dive into issues together. From the first session with me we will start to talk about the issues that have brought you to therapy and where these might have originated – granting us insight into patterns of behaviour that may have been useful in the past but now may be actually getting in the way of your health. In our second phase of therapy we will start to see patterns emerge based upon your past history. There is nothing taboo with me, and as we learn more about your past, we may uncover areas that were once unconscious – making connections on how the past and present often interweave in our day-to-day lives. In our third phase of therapy we will then start to make these changes – often using the therapy session as a safe place to try these out. Through looking at the past and the larger context of your social world we can start to get a clearer picture as to why you may be facing distress and with this insight, we will work together in overcoming these issues.

Psychotherapy with Fotini Krklinski, RP
Psychotherapy Services at Centred Self provide in-depth relational care to clients. Psychotherapy at Centred Self is based upon the Relational Psychodynamic model that emphasizes that the therapeutic relationship comes first, and therefore each practitioner is dedicated towards building trust and facilitating openness in their sessions. We provide in-depth therapy, not providing a band-aid approach to mental health, but rather getting to the root of what may be happening for each client, and tailoring our approach to fit the uniqueness of each person we see.
20 Minute Free Consult
In this 20-minute free consult, you can have an opportunity to meet your therapist - free of charge - to tell them a bit about yourself and what is bringing you to therapy at this time. You can also get to know how your therapist works, what their modality/framework is, and get a sense for how you both would work together.
Professional Coaching with Monica Lau
Monica's coaching approach is client-centred and client-lead. I believe in meeting you right where you are, as who you are and who you are becoming. I will support you by helping you define your why and get clear on your how. You are absolutely capable, resourceful and powerful in making meaningful and enduring change. Coaching with an impact comes from the strength of the relationship. We get messy, tackle the tough questions and wrestle the hard stuff, shoulder to shoulder - together.

Reduced Cost Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy with Monica Lau (RPQ)
I support clients ranging from life-limiting illness, facing end-of-life distress, to client's who are high performers that suddenly feel a loss of self, fear and anxiety after an injury or medical diagnosis. I also work with fertility issues that can impact one's sense of self and what one's body 'should' do along with those struggling with body image/body love.
Holistic Nutrition Consultation
I use symptomatology and functional testing to determine how your diet, lifestyle and biochemistry may be affecting your mood and use holistic treatments to help get you back on track. Holistic Nutrition may be for you if you struggle with low mood, or anxiety, along with:
digestive issues (bloating, pain, constipation, gas, diarrhea)
food intolerances
brain fog
PMS
low energy/chronic fatigue
skin conditions
sleep issues
or any other chronic conditions.
Your brain is NOT separate from your body so what happens in your gut, deficiencies, blood sugar imbalances, hormones, toxicities, pathogens, subclinical infections etc are all contributing to your mood, energy and focus and how you show up every day for your family, your job and most importantly for yourself. My aim as a practitioner is to give clients a roadmap to navigate all the conflicting information out there of how to take care of our minds and bodies.

Change Work Coaching with Shawna lane
Through techniques such as conscious pattern interruption and rewiring neural pathways, clients gain awareness of their habitual triggers and are guided to replace the old habit with a new, positive behavior. By leveraging the brain’s neuroplasticity, the session helps the brain unlearn the habitual response and create a more empowering and resourceful pattern, allowing for sustainable change.
