I approach my work through a person-centred, trauma-informed lens with genuine presence and curiosity. I strive to hold an environment of safety, trust, and non-judgement so we may explore what feels important to you. I welcome all identities and communities to my practice while meeting you as the expert of your own unique experience with care and compassion. Through my practice I pay attention to the connections of the past with the present, and the impact of systemic contexts on mental health and well-being. I work with youth and adults experiencing a wide range of challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, shame, grief, suicidal ideation, and self-harm.
I practice from a Relational and Psychodynamic framework and have experience using Cognitive-Behavioural and mindfulness practices. Within this we can work together to explore challenges that you are facing while moving towards growth and discovery. Ultimately, I will collaborate with you to design a therapy that fits your needs and meet you where you are at. I aim to support you with presence and compassion as you share your story.

Hi, I’m Keanna and I’d like to take a moment to thank you:
Thank you for being here - for prioritizing your needs and landing in this space. Life can get messy… It can feel overwhelming, lonely, exhausting, confusing, and defeating. Maybe you’re a new parent, that can barely find a moment to eat, shower, breath. Or a person that is feeling stuck because you want to understand yourself better, but you don’t know where to start. Despite those conflicting and uncomfortable feelings, you’re here and you’re choosing you. So, thank you.
My approach to therapy is warm, open, and direct, I do not shy away from bringing laughter and sarcasm into the conversation. Above all else, I am a fellow human that believes that you’re worthy of compassion, curiosity, and a judgment free space to explore the person that you are. As a mother to three young children that’s also navigating life for the first time, I understand the stress of feeling an urgency to carry all the heaviness of the world alone. Therefore, I am rooted in a relational and integrative approach. Meaning, together we will hold your hard moments (past or present) so that you can have the time to exist without pressure, expectations, or shame, within a co-created, safe, and trusting relationship. Additionally, I will combine approaches from psychodynamic therapy, gestalt therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and narrative therapy. I have experience working with trauma, grief, anxiety and depression, self-concept, and relationship issues. My focus is on identity exploration pertaining to major life transitions, including but not limited to parenthood and the perinatal period.

It’s so nice to meet you!
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO #008555), based in Toronto Ontario. I practice primarily within the Relational Psychodynamic framework, which means that when we work together you will not have a removed or overly clinical counsellor, but a real person who meets you not simply as a ‘patient’ but as the expert of your own life!
Together, we can delve into even the toughest, scariest, and unspeakable topics in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space. I believe that the best therapy happens when a deep trust can form between counsellor and client. With me, you will find a warm, compassionate psychotherapist who feels honoured to meet you in all aspects of your life.
The clients I work with:
In my practice, I specialize in working with those who have faced trauma, especially through forms of abuse – emotional, physical, sexual, and self-harm. Related to my work on trauma, I provide therapy to those with Borderline Personality Disorder.
A little bit about me:
I trained as a doctor of psychotherapy at the University of Edinburgh, UK.
For the past decade, I have worked with at-risk youth in both Canada and the UK, and since 2014 have worked as a psychotherapist in Edinburgh (and now Toronto) providing psychoanalysis with adults regarding work-related anxiety, sex/sexuality, gender questioning, relationships/family functioning, depression, and personality disorders. I have also provided ‘Life Review’ work with elderly clients.
For the past five years, I have supervised and trained new psychotherapists and I currently work as a supervisor for those in the helping field. I also provide training and workshops to those in the helping fields who want to learn more about honing their practice through Psychodynamic Practice.
Current projects beyond my practice:
I have published in journals related to feminist research and psychotherapy and currently have several projects in press (see below). I am the co-founder of the ‘Bodies Collective’ that collaborates with scholars around the globe at bringing the physical body back into recognition within the academy. Through the Bodies Collective, we have created a new way of doing research called ‘Bodyography’. I have given numerous presentations at conferences in both North America and Europe and am also an active public speaker on mental health for universities in the UK and Canada.
I am also an active potter and oil painter and am currently working on a project that highlights the intersection between wheel-based pottery, trauma, and psychotherapy: https://www.centredself.ca or follow me at https://instagram.com/centred_self

In my view, counselling works best when psychotherapists believe in their client’s capacity for change. Even as you read this, I believe in you and trust that you have the capacity to grow and change.
My goal is to learn about your unique journey and experiences, and use that insight to then help you move towards change. In my therapeutic space, you’ll be the main unit, and I’ll be your support. Whatever it may be that brings you into therapy, we’re on the same team.
My approach is strongly person-centered, meaning that our process will be based on your unique circumstances. I’ll strive to hold a space for you to be you. This will take earnest effort from both of us; ultimately it will be a space that is free of judgement, where you’re the expert, and where we set the agenda together. You’ll have the freedom and security to openly explore your inner thoughts and feelings.
I’m passionate about supporting older adults, and have experience supporting those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. I have also worked with clients on issues related to suicidality, self-harm, depression, anxiety, school concerns, diverse relationships, and men’s issues.
I maintain that we all have the capacity to face whatever it is that’s troubling us, given the right environment. If you’re looking for a safe space to address what’s been on your mind, I’m happy to hear you out.

My practice is person-centred, trauma and attachment informed. I believe the relationship developed between me and you is the foundation to effective therapy. My approach is collaborative and inclusive, meaning I will not be clinically removed but rather warm, empathic, and non-judgemental.
I integrate a number of different treatment models including psychodynamic and interpersonal as well as elements of CBT and DBT, because I believe that everyone is unique and as such requires an approach tailored to them. I don’t believe in band-aids, quick fixes and lots of worksheets.
I believe in providing a safe, open space for you to be heard and validated as we unpack the issues together.

Hi, I’m Cindy. Taking this first step takes courage, and I’m glad you’re here.
I believe that suffering is an inevitable part of being human. I know we all go through hard times, we all struggle and suffer sometimes, and when that goes unaddressed, it can quietly shape our lives. I came to this work to do something meaningful—and to me, nothing feels more meaningful than supporting someone in building a life that feels fulfilling and worth living.
In my practice, I draw on trauma-informed, psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapy, and emotion focused therapy frameworks, and adapt my approach based on what feels most useful for you. My approach is person-centred, collaborative, and follows your pace. My goal is to be present with you—to sit with your story, honour where you’ve been, and walk alongside you as we make sense of it together. I want our space to feel safe enough that you can openly explore whatever you’re carrying without judgement or pressure. And when you’re ready, we’ll work together toward building a life that feels genuinely meaningful to you; one that reflects your deeper values and the life you want to live.
I work with adults navigating a wide range of experiences, including depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, and grief. Whatever it is that has brought you to this point, you don’t have to make sense of it alone.
